Tessellate

I have not been this inspired for an outfit in awhile. It may have been the pretty music that was playing in the background as I shot this outfit, but it could have also been the fact that both of these pieces are absolute perfection.

I finally got my One Teaspoon jeans from Plndr, and this time they were the correct size. Those darn Australian brands with their funky sizing. They are quite long, so I'll most likely be wearing them with heels all the time, because come on. Check out how long my legs look!
I could not be happier with these jeans - they're so comfy and the fit is perfection. No wonder they were originally $120 jeans.
I paired the bell bottoms with this crochet top I picked up from Nordstrom Rack the other day. Quick sidenote: WHY THE HELL HAVE I NEVER BEEN TO NORDSTROM RACK? This place has everything - scarves, hats, shoes with cats on them (channeling Bill Hader's Stefon for a second there).
But seriously, it's like TJ Maxx of Marshall's but fancier and with more selection. What got me on this top though was that it was MINKPINK. I've been wanting to try something from this brand for forever, and I finally found something that wasn't too expensive (originally $109, marked down to $40). It's so old-fashioned and retro yet trendy and modern. And it's also comfy as hell.
My shoes are actually TOMS wedges, that my mom got me last year for my birthday. I barely wore these at all until this year, and I love them. They're really comfortable for wedges, and the perfect height for these jeans. I had to pull them up to show the shoes, haha.
Everything about this outfit screams 70s to me. The photos are like the old ones my mom shows me from when she was in high school. And I am totally okay with that.
Top: MINKPINK // Jeans: One Teaspoon // Shoes: Toms (Similar) // Sunglasses: Ray Ban Meteor

The song for today's title is in reference to the tessellated pattern on my top, and it comes from an Alt-J song. It's a super eerie and sexy song, and I like it a lot.

  1. You look like somebody in my high school yearbook (I graduated in '75). :)
