Don't Fence Me In

I love flowy skirts. They are the red lipstick of fashion, because they are truly one of the most universally-flattering pieces of clothing that anyone can rock, whether it's a maxi or midi length. You just have to find the right length, and you've got the easiest and more comfortable piece of clothing in your wardrobe.

This particular skirt (and shoes!) I found at the Gig Harbor Goodwill the other day. I've never been able to find the flowy skirts at any stores other than thrift stores. I don't get it. Granted, I tend to not shop at really expensive stores, but why would you spend $50 on a piece of fabric if you could find gorgeous pieces like this one for $5?
I also picked up a new red lipstick, and this is Mac Red (literally that's the name), after my dog ate my Tarte Glamazon lipstick in Wild. I was devastated when I found her with red all over her face and front paws, at first because I thought she had killed something, but then when I saw the wooden pieces I knew she destroyed and consumed my entire favorite red. #firstworldproblems
I paired the floral skirt with a simple white t-shirt that I got from Target, and the Michael Kors belt from Marshall's. That's the one thing you have to do with skirts like this - sometimes the elastic waistband ends up looking either too childish or too old-ladyish so you want a belt or a sash to hide the elastic.
I matched my earrings with my nail polish today too! Look at how coordinated I am? These earrings are from Target from like 4 years ago, and my nail polish is Color Club's "Blue-Ming" that I got in my Birchbox last year. I really hate how some nail polish companies come up with the names. I feel like they just have a pun machine constantly generating cheesy names.
Jude decided to sneak up on Sarah and I when we were shooting on the side of her house. Look at his little haircut! He's such a little man now! It's weird seeing friends' babies growing up into toddlers. I assume it will be even weirder seeing them start school. Oh god I feel old.

I hope you guys have a great weekend, and if you're in the Seattle area, you should come see me at work at Lush in Southcenter. I'd love to see you!

The title of this post is referencing an old Bing Crosby song (not the original, I am aware), from 1944.
