Build-An-Outfit: Winter Layering

The Grand Tour Guide

I haven't posted anything on Polyvore in a long time, but I was recently contacted by Modcloth asking me if I was interested in entering their Uniquely You Polyvore challenge, and I thought - heck yeah! I had to build an outfit around the Grand Tour Guide Top, so I added a ton more warm browns and beiges to fit fall/winter season. Those are my favorite colors to wear, so I stuck to my wheelhouse.

I also took the layering to a new level, layering thigh high socks over tights to keep warm during winter while still wearing shorts. I don't pack my shorts up for the winter, why should you have to?

Links to all the items are on the Polyvore set, all which came from Modcloth (and honestly Modcloth is one of my favorite online boutiques). If there was a Modcloth storefront it would be dangerous because I'd be there all the damn time.

I might make this a monthly feature, building outfits without actually having to get dressed. Online window shopping is fun, and Polyvore is a great way to put things together in one neat layout without having to go try things on. It helps give me more ideas for items I might already have something similar to.

  1. Ugh, I love modcloth so hard! And layering highwaisted shorts over tights and thigh highs is genious! :)
