Writings On The Wall

Check out this model pose. Smize girl, smize.

Who am I kidding? But seriously, can we talk about that circle skirt for a minute? It's pleated and precious and perfect. Hell, if I wanted to be Daria for Halloween again, I'd have better luck with the stuff I have now.
Sarah and I found the best light down at Chambers Creek in University Place the other day. We'll definitely be going there more. It's Tacoma's own Stonehenge, if you were wondering. It's pretty legit for photo sessions, if you ever needed an "abandoned warehouse" looking place right next to a golf course.
When I was in Forever 21 the other day (I literally walk by it every time I go to work, so sue me), I fell in love with this cropped sweater in the window. It was very mid-90s rom-com to me, which is always a good thing. It's a nice transition piece that I can layer underneath, or wear by itself on warmer days because it's not a very tight knit so it breathes.
I paired it with that fabulous circle skirt, which I also got from Forever 21. Ugh. But it was cheap, guys! It's a piece of damn fabric, it doesn't need to be fancy or expensive. I'll never buy jeans from F21, but skirts - all the way.
I also got to break out my Creepers this week, finally after pulling out my fall/winter clothes and packing away my summer tanks and dresses. It felt good to bust these bad boys out again. They're so comfortable to stand on for hours on end, so perfect for work. Yes, I'm telling you to wear Creepers to your retail job.
See? Look at this light. It's magical.
I did my makeup kind of funky that day, with sparkles in the inner corner and fancy eyeliner. Why? Why not!
Also my lipstick is Irony from Portland Black Lipstick Company (see my review here).
I'm not actually 9 feet tall, even though these Creepers are quite tall.
Shoes: Karmaloop // Sweater: Forever 21 // Skirt: Forever 21 // Tights: Target // Socks: Target //
Lipstick: Irony by Portland Black Lipstick Co // Earrings: Fuego

The title of this post comes from an Album Leaf song, which is a super haunting track that you should most definitely check out.
