Today was a simple day. Simple clothes for a simple day. Granted, I was
on my way to work and I changed my shirt before getting there, but it
was so damn hot that I needed to rock a breezy tank top for the rest of
the day. We keep the temp at work at 69 degrees, so I can wear whatever I
want no matter the weather outside.
I got this top at Nordstrom Rack last week - and I absolutely love it. It's got a bit of acid wash to it, and the fabric is really light and breezy, perfect for summer.
I chose to pair this super simple ensemble with my new black flats from Charlotte Russe. I got them last week after I discovered that my dog chewed up my other plain black flats. It was actually pretty lucky when I went to get these, because it was during Charlotte Russe's happy hour, so I got these for $19.50 and another different pair for $2.50. Sweet deal, right?
I need some new hats too. This one has been on its last leg for awhile - it's my Uncle Don's, and he died 3 years ago. It's a pretty great fedora, just coming apart a bit on the top.
Elbows look awkward, don't they?
I've been hankering for some new sunglasses lately, but because I don't wear contacts -
buying sunglasses is a bit complicated and expensive. I tested out these
cheap ones with the outfit though, and I thought they were pretty cool.
I didn't realize that this necklace was backward when I put it on. I guess it's my inner blonde, and when I saw that it was the right way in the mirror, I was like, "good, perfect." Nope. But it's one of my favorite necklaces, and I got it from a handmade seller on Etsy called Untamed Menagerie.
Check out these cool shots. Sarah was trying really hard.
Maybe I'll try out some more cheap sunglasses, just to see which shapes frame my face well. I have been wanting a pair of cat eye glasses lately. I've had my regular frames for almost 3 years now, and it gets boring.
This post's title is an old Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin track. I love that band so much.
Have a wonderful weekend!
