NEW STUFF: May

Here we have another edition of NEW STUFF. I got some new stuff in the mail today and I bought some new stuff today, so I thought what better way to break it all in than do a blog post about it?!

I had an interview at Lush today (fingers crossed!) and while I was there I needed to trade in my empty containers for a fresh face mask, and this time I chose Catastrophe Cosmetic because I've been breaking out lately and when I tried it at the shop, it felt and smelled really nice. I'll probably do a blog post once I get around to using it. I also picked up Celestial moisturizer because I'm running low on my Body Shop Vitamin E moisturizers. I love my Body Shop moisturizers, but in case you didn't know, L'Oreal bought the Body Shop. And I'm not a fan of L'Oreal for many reasons, but the main one being that they test on animals.
Another brand new purchase (actually all of these are brand new purchases) is the Skin79 Hot Pink Super BB Cream. I got it off Amazon last week for $18-ish. I have yet to use it, but when I put it on the back of my hand, it felt and looked rather similar to my Dr. Jart+ Premium BB cream (but it's a good $20 cheaper!) Again, expect a review here because don't we just all love talking about BB creams?
I mentioned the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer in my last favorites video when I got a sample from Sephora last month and oof I'd a nice primer. Plus, I was out of my Makeup Forever HD primer so I needed a new one. Both this one and the MUFE primers are $32, but this one is 1.7oz, where the MUFE one is only 1oz. Can you say good deal or what?
Also while I was at Sephora, I had to get my birthday treat since I will be 24 in ten days exactly. Oh god.
I already know I love Benefit's They're Real! Mascara, and this is the perfect size for travel. I haven't used Watts Up before, but I'm sure I'll like it because it's a highlighter and I just really like highlighters.

A couple new nail polishes I've picked up is this Orly's Choreographed Chaos from their Mash Up collection, and Revlon's Posh. Both of them have amazing wear on them for me and I absolutely love the new Orly packaging. It's just super simple and sexy. I love me some sans serif fonts, mmm baby.
The last bit of beauty products are new additions to my hair regimen. I am trying desperately to get the red out of my hair. I know it's going to take a lot of work, and this was the one step I could take myself without going to a salon. I picked up the Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo and conditioner, which are both a deep indigo purple color to help take the brassy orange tones out of hair. So far I can see a little bit of difference, which is nice because I've only used them twice. The third part of this regimen is the Manic Panic Virgin Snow toner, which I'm not entirely satisfied with. I should have read more reviews online before busting out and buying it, because it didn't make that much of a difference. The one good thing about Manic Panic is that their products aren't very harsh on your hair, though.
The last bit is the bit I'm most excited about. SALTWATER SANDALS GUYS. Modcloth carries them for adult humans. I realized two weeks ago that I literally only owned one pair of sandals (the ones from my Casual Success post), and I needed to rectify that. Pardon my feet - I need to re-paint my toenails and I was walking around all day so my feet are dry. That's what my feet look like when they aren't moisturized extensively.

So that's enough yammering for now. I'll be back soon with my outfit plans for Sasquatch! Four days guys! FOUR DAYS!

  1. The skin79 BB cream is great! Unfortunately it's too light for me but the coverage is great. I hope you'll like it! Ohh and I love that Orly nail polish color!
