Sunset Soon Forgotten

This weekend we'll be setting our clocks back as it's the end of Daylight Savings, so needless to say, I'm glad we'll have some more sun later in the day. Nothing messes with my body clock like starting work in the dark at 5 p.m.

But along with this weird lack of daylight, comes some of the lovely weather of the year. September and October in the Pacific Northwest are definitely my favorites.

Sarah and I ventured out to Point Defiance the other day to shoot, at the perfect time of night too. Can you say golden hour? I absolutely love all the shots we got here, especially the ones I took of her.
Because of this chilly chilly weather, I rocked a lot of wool. My mom found both of these pieces (sweater and skirt) at an estate sale, and miraculously they both fit me. I love when that happens.
I paired the wintery wool with this wide brim hat I got at Charlotte Russe (the same day I got this hat). It's a bit more casual and not quite as stark at the black one, and it works great with the various tones of beige in this outfit.
I'm also really glad that my mother found this skirt - I could always use more plaid in my life, and this will be super cute all of autumn. So expect to see it at least a couple more times on this blog.
There are certain days when I love my hair, and this was one of those days. I had to put 8 little braids in when my hair was wet and even then, I had to curl some pieces once it dried. It turned out pretty badass though, don't you think?

Have a great weekend, and I'll see you when I see you. Also, I almost forgot. Today's post comes from an Iron & Wine song.
