GETTING TO KNOW: Lush "Oatifix"
Monday, August 19, 2013
We have reached the yummiest mask of them all - Oatifix. I literally would have licked this stuff off my face if my tongue was long enough. That got weird real fast.
Oatifix is made mostly of oats and bananas, giving it the rich, moisturizing texture. The oats are calming for irritated skin and the bananas are so hydrating. There is a bit of ground almonds in there as well for gentle exfoliation.
This is the one mask that really doesn't dry down much at all - it stays tacky - and I left this thing on for 15 minutes.
Doesn't it look like I just smeared breakfast all over my face? So appetizing.
Overall, I enjoyed using this mask. The pleasant smell and ease of use made it a good one in my book. I didn't necessarily see a ton of effects after the fact, but I can imagine that it will be a lifesaver in the winter when your skin is just thirsting for moisture. So if you have dehydrated skin, this will definitely be one to check out. This one especially is best used as fresh as possible, because of the bananas.
