Gettin' Thrifty With It: Military Jacket

This jacket is the pride and joy of my thrifted finds. My mom and I found it at a flea market several years ago, and it's still one of the best things that I own. I used to call it my "Michael Jackson" jacket. Seriously, how perfect is it?

On this day, Sarah and I set up in a basically abandoned parking lot down in University Place, with a bunch of teenagers gawking at our awkward poses. Oh maybe they were marveling at my shiny hair. I mean not to boast, but how great does my hair look in this lighting? I just dyed it again, using Revlon Colorsilk in Burgundy (cheapest hair dye in the drug store hell yeah).
I paired it with another thrifted find, this sheer floral top I found at the Gig Harbor Goodwill. It fits a bit funky, but that's why I wear it with a jacket. Sometimes I can't give up a cute top for $4, even if the fit isn't perfect.

As you can tell, this was a particularly sunny day (even though it was freeze-your-balls-off cold), so I needed to rock my Ray Ban Meteors. This is the style of mine, though mine have gray prescription lenses. I got them last year when Macy's was having their 20% off Friends and Family sale.
On my nails are China Glaze Concrete Catwalk with Essie Stroke of Brilliance on my accent finger. Ya dig my friendship bracelets? I still love these things after having them for several years. I seriously never take them off (totally not gross).
I borrowed this necklace from my sister (not entirely sure where she got it), but I love how it looks like three necklaces. On my lips is Wet N Wild Mega Last lipstick in Cherry Bomb. The Wet N Wild lipsticks are definitely one of my favourite drugstore finds. I have this color and Ravin' Raisin. Keep on the lookout for a more in-depth post on this lipstick in my red lip series!
My jeans are Urban Outfitters BDG High Rise Cigarette in Pure Blue (the color has faded a bit since I got them back in August). These are totally my holy grail skinny jeans. I wore my black pair in the Frankenstein Shoes post. So comfortable and so flattering. My shoes are from Marshall's - Chinese Laundry to be more specific. They are also so comfortable, and just special enough to add a little extra to an outfit every day! Psst, and they're a cheaper alternative to the Sam Edelman Louie. I'd never pay full price for those things, so $35 for the Chinese Laundry ones is a great deal!
I'm digging these thrifting challenges. It makes me get more creative with my outfits, because honestly I've fallen into the jeans-sweater trap for a good month now. As much as I love winter, I'm looking forward to dresses and t-shirts for spring and summer (and festival season! I've already started thinking about my outfits for the Sasquatch Festival in May, not gonna lie.)

Best wishes!
